Halloween Wedding!
This year we performed for our first-ever Halloween wedding in Mooreton, ND for David and Kristina Badgely. It was very interesting, considering the wedding party and guests were dressed in costume! The reception hall was decorated with a mix of Halloween decorations & traditional wedding garniture which blended together quite well! The dance was a lot of fun. We did a lot of group participation dances and "Thriller" was a big hit. All in all I must say it was a lot of fun, and a completely new experience as a Disc Jockey...It will definitely go down as one of the most unique & memorable weddings.
Relay For Life Fight Against Cancer
Once again Powerplay DJ gladly donated their services for the annual Relay For Life event to help raise money to fight cancer. This year the Relay was moved to later in the summer to try and avoid June rains, and it turned out to be a good move. We provided music and karaoke from 6pm to 6am for the hundreds of supporters (many of whom camped out) at the Schlossman Family YMCA-West, a wonderful place to hold the event.
Fargo Park District Block Parties
What a summer it has been. Aside from the many memorable wedding receptions, the Fargo Park District weekday block parties have been a lot of fun. The Fargo Park District annual block parties were expanded to 6 this summer, with an outstanding turnout at each one. Weather cancelled just one and Rhealt Farm's block party set a record for attendance. The kids showed more interest than ever in singing and of course Hannah Montana & Taylor Swift were big requests. One talented young lady performed the Star Spangled Banner acapella. Sarah and the Park District crew really do a great job at planning all these great community events and we look forward to the "Freak Fright Night" planned for end of October.
West Fargo JROTC Military Ball
After 10 years of DJing, it takes a lot to impress me. But I must say the system we setup this month for the West Fargo JROTC Military Ball was really awesome! The set-up included a Dual-Screen video show, and light show with Martin Intelligent lighting, and (for added punch) a doubled up sound system. I have to say this setup absolutely rocks, and must be seen/heard to fully appreciate! The Cadets & their dates loved it, and what made the event great was how the Cadets & their advisor's enthusiasm. They were there to have a good time & it showed. Major Sjue led the chicken dance & CSM Komrosky & his wife Pat led "The Stroll" - which was hilarious. Everyone, including myself, had a great time. Jessica from All Event Photography was on hand to take some great pictures (many of which we have added to the gallery). I highly recommend her company for any of your photography needs. Genia & Tavga were great to work with in the planning and we look forward to working with the JROTC next year as well!

We thought this would be a great place to jot down some of our more memorable moments...We'll share some stories from our experiences on the road and other DJ related tid bits. Another page we're working on is a good vendor directory for helping you find great help for handling all your event needs. Bear with us at first while we build the links...
